  1. This story is so charming. It reminds me a lot of many musical origin stories around the world. Many cultures – perhaps even a majority – believe their music to be divinely inspired. The Western paradigm has come to mean individual composers writing music, but it’s fascinating to remember that early on, our Western tradition had an origin story in line with those for Indian ragas and Native American ceremonial songs.
